Shavuous in Mezibuzh and Har Zion
The Baal Shem Tov, the founder of the Chassidus movement, was a leader who revolutionized Jewish thought and breathed new life into a fainting nation. The affects of his teachings continue to be felt today-both by his direct followers, known as chassidim, and by followers of all streams of Jewish thought, who've been deeply impacted by his teachings and philosophy.
The Baal Shem Tov gained a reputation for performing miracles in order to help Jews in dire straits or to teach his students a profound lesson. Many tales have been told of the Baal Shem Tov's supernatural ability to elicit cures for the desperately ill or to enable barren couples to have children.
On the first day of Shavouos of 5520 (1760), surrounded by his most devoted students, Rabbi Yisrael Baal Shem Tov passed away.
We at Nikolsburg, direct descendants of the followers of the Baal Shem Tov, have arranged with our emissaries to say Tehillim at the gravesite of the Baal Shem Tov in Mezibuzh, Ukraine, on Shavouos, his Yahrzeit.
Shavouos is also the Yahrzeit of David Hamelech, the composer of the Sefer Tehillim. We have arranged for an emissary to pray at his gravesite which is on Mt. Zion in Yerushalayim on Shavouos as well.
For the nominal sum of $36, you can be included in both arrangements.
There is a well known segulah from Chacham Chaim Palagi for those seeking children as well as for a host of other yeshuos. (Teshuva, nachas, health, etc). The Chacham writes in his sefer that one should set aside $91 on Erev Shavuos and continue adding until you reach
$104 which is two times the numerical value of the word ben (son). This money should be given to a Talmid Chochom who is in need of financial support.
As you well know, the Rebbe has a list of Talmidei Chachomim who devote their day to learning and davening. The Rebbe makes it his duty to help support these Torah scholars. This is your opportunity to help the Rebbe and help yourself at the same time. By contributing$104 the Rebbe will daven for you and your family and you will merit the special blessings from Chacham Chaim Palagi.
